Following the lead of the Windows and Office Insider programs, Microsoft has launched the Bing Insider Program to give users closer access to the service.
Microsoft’s Insider programs have been a huge success for the company, allowing users to interact with the teams behind products and help to make those services better. The Windows Insider Program and Office Insider Program also allow users to get early releases of upcoming updates, allowing them to see these features before launch.
More than that, Insiders are able to see features in their infancy (less than perfect sometimes) and provide feedback to Microsoft about those features and services. Much more than a gimmick, Microsoft has been wise enough to see the Insider idea for what it should be and as actually listened to feedback. The result has been a solid community that has grown from the programs.
The company has now expanded its Insider idea with the launch of the Bing Insiders Program. The services does what it says on the tin, giving users access to early Bing builds and features, events, and fixes.
The upshot of being a Bing Insider is that users can provide feedback to Microsoft to help improve the service, while also be a part of “our planning process for the future”.
“You are a critical component of the Bing experience, and we value your suggestions and feedback, so we wanted to give you a chance to join the Bing Insiders program,” said Melroy an UX Researcher on the Bing team.
