The Azure cloud platform received yet another boost today and garnered a new partner in the form of Nuspay, a technology company that is a leader in digital currency on a global scale.

Nuspay announced that it will be using Microsoft’s Azure cloud services for its Digital Currency Platform, the next generation software developed by the company.

Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform has been going from strength to strength in recent months and has helped Microsoft return to a powerful market position.

A major cloud service, Azure delivers numerous Microsoft services to customers on the cloud, including the company’s big hitting suites such as MSN, Bing, Outlook, OneDrive, Skype, Office 365, Xbox, and the Azure platform itself, which includes the cloud marketplace.

Microsoft has managed to get ahead of major rivals Amazon and Google with its cloud first strategy and the company has built an enviable cloud infrastructure. This includes a massive multi-terabyte global network and 100 worldwide datacenters, which was part of the reason why Nuspay opted to use Azure as its cloud platform of choice.

We selected Microsoft Azure based on its reliability, scalability, security and environmental sustainability. Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure has over a million servers hosted in 100+ globally distributed datacenters with the ability to process over 1.5 million network transaction requests per second. Nuspay needed the ability to reassure its customers, clients and strategic partners that our centralized digital currency platform had its roots firmly imbedded in a world class cloud infrastructure that had the ability to go to the moon and back if needed. Utilizing Microsoft Azure allows me to focus on our global growth without having to be concerned about our infrastructure.

– Nuspay Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Greg A Wooten.

Nuspay Digital Currency (NDC) is a cryptocurrency platform that is being deployed to governments and financial institutions. Azure will help the company deliver its product on the cloud environment, joining 85% of Fortune 500 companies who use Azure for their cloud needs.
